Welcome Back Thread

You can't hit your ten year anniversary without getting a bit nostalgic, and with all of the recent thread necros I have seen a lot of names of people I miss quite a bit. One of the problems with a forum, and indeed life in general, is that it tends to be transitional- you get folks drifting in and out from time to time, as their lives or necessities allow, and I understand that people have other interests in life and they move on for one reason or another.

Even so, I was hoping to make a thread (which I will be sending out shortly with a newsletter, so watch for it in your inboxes!) that we could use to convince people to stop in, even for just a post or two to say Hi and let us all know they are ok. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we look after our own, and every member is one of us.

Hopefully you will all help me make this thread a success by mentioning specific members you are missing, posting messages that will hopefully convince people to stop in and say Hi, whatever you like.

I suppose I'm a drifter to many forums. Once I move on to a different interest focus, so does my forum participation. Regardless, I've used MTo a lot over the years and appreciate the gathering place it is, the ideas that get shared, and wish MTo (and associated staff and members) a happy 10th anniversary!!!

This is indeed the correct thread!

Actually, I have wondered how you were from time to time, having a unique (at least for this forum!) opinion on EDC. Last January I broke my ankle again and have had to deal with a number of mobility issues and have been thinking of your old threads on the subject!

Unfortunately, foruns are becoming obsolete, everyone´s turning to facebook, look for the days posts, and all the rest is lost... I know I´m acting like that too, in many foruns I used to post more often, but this is where we all come back when you search for something specific, a review or even an opinion.

Let´s all not let foruns disappear.

That is certainly the case for a lot of forums, but not this one. Yeah we have had slower periods, but overall we are still growing.

How is that Syph007 custom holding up?

Longtime lapsed member checking in, the place looks great, just spent 2 hours browsing, it had barely being set up when I joined, Im still EDC'ing my trusty Cybertool 41 and Leatherman Charge TTi for heavier jobs, nearly 10 years on each now, still good as the day they were bought and haven't seen anything much to tempt me away from either in the intervening years...
